Over the Summer I completed several Tantra workshops and festivals around Europe. It's been full of bliss, beautiful people, emotions, dance and self discovery. Some workshops were more hands on and focused on techniques and others were about being aware and working inwards. I was immersed deeper and deeper into the practice.
Tantra is meant to expand our consciousness, its a celebration of life. It is used to deepen intimacy with ourselves, others and the entire Universe!
Tantra is not a religion and its not about sex (out of 64 ancient tantric scriptures, only 10% is about sexuality), that it is a spiritual framework for life and can be used in many aspects of it. Others have noted that Tantra is a shortcut to Enlightenment! It makes sense as to be enlightened is to lighten up! :)
Tantrics believe that if you’re going to do something whether it be eating or making love, make it explosive.
Celebrate your sexuality. We are all spiritual and sexual divine beings.
I also discovered 1-3 hour orgasms are a very real thing, even just from breathing. The breath of fire will send that sexual energy right up!
Tantra is not about having an incredible sex life, it is about being fully present in the now, experiencing every sensation; completely detached from the past or future. Next time, try noticing what you feel as you orgasm; are you thinking about work, dinner or that crack on the ceiling or is your mind calm and open?
See the divine and have fun!
